At IQS, we love to support those around us who are sharing our message and positively shaping the health of their community.
Here are our fave start-up businesses who are giving a helping hand to those around them.
Two Good Co.
Two Good Co is an inspiring small business that provides food to domestic violence refuges and soup kitchens around Australia. By embracing the “buy one, give one” model, for every meal you purchase, another delish meal is donated to someone in need. Have lunch and help your community? Yes, please!
Not only have they paired up with some of the best Aussie chefs to build a nutritious and delicious menu (including our very own Sarah Wilson), but they’re conscious of the environment and their waste, using sterilised glass jars to package up the goodies. Plus, 80% of their meals are delivered on bikes! What’s not to love?!
Who Gives A Crap.
Ah, toilet paper. Something that we all use but definitely take for granted. Did you know, that more people in the world have mobile phones than toilets! Who Gives A Crap have made it their mission to put 50 per cent of their profits towards building toilets for people in need, as well as funding hygiene and sanitation projects. To top it off, their loo paper is made from 100 per cent recycled paper fibres, bamboo and sugarcane (finally something sugar’s good for!).
Good for the earth, your wallet and your bum too!
Remedy Kombucha.
It’s no secret that we LOVE these guys. Their story begins after finding that products marketed as “healthy” were packed with sugar! They channelled their passion for fermenting to bring us a refreshing drink that only has 0.1g of sugar per 100mls and is flavoured with natural fruits, roots and spices.
As well as being super delish, it’s GMO-free and the packaging is recyclable too, so you can feel sweet about sipping your brew.
KeepCup.
Sure, getting your coffee to-go is convenient, but what’s your habit doing to the environment? KeepCups mission is to bring an end to our disposable culture, by encouraging the use of reusable cups. Not only are they a sustainable way to drink your morning cuppa, but they’re cute too! And, many cafés now offer a discount if you BYO cup (win-win!). We’ve got ours, have you?
