The best thing since sliced bread: Slow Cooker Bread!

Written By Unknown on Thursday, 27 October 2016 | 22:09

Now that the weather is getting warmer, you might think it’s time to stash your slow cooker away in your dusty corner cupboard.

Don’t touch that crockpot! Besides comforting curries, soups and stews, you can make plenty of warmer weather-appropriate dishes in the slow cooker, including cake, brownies, muesli bars and now… bread!

Yes indeedy, you CAN make bread in a slow cooker. Gently “baked” for hours, it comes out soft, chewy and makes the whole house smell amazing (you’ll never want to buy supermarket bread after making this).

With rye, sunflower seeds and wattleseed, this loaf also has the most uniquely nutty flavour. (If you can’t find wattleseed where you are, feel free to leave out – it will still taste delicious). For best results, serve warm and slathered with butter.
