Quitting sugar? Here’s why it’s not as hard as you think

Written By Unknown on Monday, 16 May 2016 | 13:13

Are you toying with the idea of quitting sugar but concerned you’ll have to give up everything you love to get the job done? It’s time to debunk some myths.

Quitting sugar isn’t as difficult as you think. In fact, on the I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program we show you how to enjoy some chocolate, indulge in a glass of wine and eat out at your favourite restaurant, while going sugar-free.

Here are four things you don’t have to quit when you quit sugar. We think you might pleasantly surprised.

1. It’s okay to eat chocolate when you quit sugar.

It may sound like a crazy concept, but chocolate can comfortably coexist with a sugar-free life. From the best dark choccy at the supermarket to a sugar-free recipe for Choc Chip Skillet Cookies, we can show you how to have your cake and eat it too. Heck, we’ve even dedicated an entire cookbook to the gloriousness of the stuff!

2. It’s okay to eat out when you quit sugar.

Worried that Saturday night date nights at the local Italian restaurant or lazy, long-weekend brunches will be off the menu when you quit sugar? You need not be. If you love dining out you don’t have to stop when you give up the white stuff.

In fact, on the 8-Week Program, we’ll show you the best options available from the pub to your local takeaway strip.

3. It’s okay to have the odd drink when you quit sugar.

Before you say no to that glass of wine with dinner, you might be interested to know that you’re allowed beer, wine and even some spirits when quitting sugar. (On occasion and responsibly, of course!)

4. It’s okay to eat bread when you quit sugar.

Generally speaking, breads are pretty low in sugar. So whether you want to pick the healthiest store-bought option or need a delicious recipe for using your loaf at home, you definitely don’t have to say good bye to your beloved bread when you quit sugar.
