3 fast fixes for bloating (you can find in your kitchen)

Written By Unknown on Saturday, 16 December 2017 | 10:03

As the silly season creeps up (AKA the season of overindulging), it’s important to know how to combat that dreaded bloat…

We love fermented foods, because well, not only are they damn delicious, but they boast a heap of gut healing benefits too – including helping to tackle bloating. So as the big day gets closer and you prep your party shoes, make sure you introduce our top bloat-fighting foods into your diet.

1. Gelatin.

Our Gelatin is Gut Lovin’ by name and gut lovin’ by nature! It’s packed with anti-inflammatory properties to help ease any inflammation in your gut, while also helping to seal your gut lining and improve digestion – better digestion means less bloating. So pop some in your gummies (yum!), or try a spoonful in your coffee, smoothies or cookies to give your digestive health a kick when you need it most.

2. Apple cider vinegar.

Turns out, our grandparents were onto something… and now we swear by drinking ACV too! To kickstart our digestive systems (and kick bloat to the curb), simply mix a tablespoon with warm water for a cleansing morning drink. Not only will it fire up your digestive juices but research shows it could also help prevent weight gain! Sounds like we’re onto a winner!

3. Kombucha.

If you’re not already on the kombucha train, get yourself to the shop immediately. Remedy Kombucha is a naturally fermented product, packed with good gut bugs to improve digestion and boosting nutrient absorption. So sip on some booch and say goodbye to bloat.

Other tricks to try…

  • Exercise. Bloating can sometimes be gas-related so get moving! Gas retention has been found to be significantly higher in those who don’t regularly bust a move. Try going for a walk, swim or cycle, or beat the bloat with yoga.
  • Give sugar the flick. Yep, seriously! Sugar is highly inflammatory, throws your gut bugs out of whack and will send your bloating into overdrive. Reduce your sugar intake over the silly season, or better yet, sign up to our 8-Week Program and banish bloat for good.
