
When you think of pancakes, you almost definitely think of cooking them in a pan. Well, it IS in the name.
But what’s in a name? A pancake by another other cooking method would taste as sweet!
In fact, you can even make perfect, sugar-free pancakes without a pan. These pancake hacks are so ingenious we just know you’re going to flip for them. (Did you see what we did there?)
Dutch oven.
Dutch pancakes are baked in a skillet in the oven, so they puff up like a sweet, soft cloud. They also deflate really quickly once you take them out of the oven, so you’ll need to eat quickly!
Zap to it.
Yes, pancakes CAN be cooked in the microwave. Mind blown, right? Simply pour your mix onto a large, flat, greased plate like you would a normal pancake. Microwave for at least a minute, or until cooked. We reckon our banana pancakes would work well with this method – but do know they won’t brown or crisp up!
Panwiches.
You can cook your pancakes on a sandwich press, who knew!? Simply grease the hot plate, pour on the batter and press! Savoury pancakes work best here, because you can add melted cheese to the mix. And everything is better with melted cheese.
