The ONE thing you won’t mind catching off your friends…

Friends can be known for passing on some of the worst things.

That pesky cold, those leftover fries… and don’t even talk about that time they tried to play matchmaker!

But one of the things friends are good for is support and encouragement when you need it most. In fact, a massive study that followed 1.1 million people over five years, found that when you team up with your mates, you become unstoppable.

While this study focused on exercise in particular – and concluded that exercise is contagious – we can totally draw parallels between exercise and healthy eating. Researchers discovered that (due to some hardcore theories called structural diversity in social contagion and complex contagion, but don’t worry too much about those!) it’s easier to change your behaviour with a little help from your friends.

That’s because quitting sugar is contagious!
