Gelatin… not just for gummies!

Written By Unknown on Monday 6 November 2017 | 19:03

We’re not going to lie, we firmly believe that gummies are the most delicious treats in the world!

But, if they’re not to your liking, don’t stress! You can still reap all the benefits of gelatin, no matter what you choose to add it to.

So get set for your gut to be in tip-top shape, by boosting these everyday food and drinks with good ol’ gut-lovin’ gelatin…

Bulletproof coffee.

Bulletproof coffee is what all the cool kids are sipping on at the mo, but it’s not as fancy as it sounds. Pretty much, it’s your standard coffee, blitzed up with some MCT oil and grass-fed butter which both kick your brain into gear and help keep you satiated  – hello, healthy fats! But you can take your morning brew one step further by adding a teaspoon of gelatin. Plus, sipping on your new favourite blend first thing in the morning will send the gelatin straight to your stomach lining to kickstart digestion. And, you won’t even taste it. Promise.

Smoothies.

If you’re trying to steer clear of caffeine, never fear! Up your smoothie game by adding up to 3 teaspoons of gelatin. The extra protein will set you up for the day and keep you full of energy – not to mention blending the gelatin will give you a smooth and creamy texture that’s out of this world. Happy sippin’!

Popsicles.

As the warmer weather rolls in (finally), it’s time to relax, whack on some sunnies and reach for a popsicle! Simply add a spoonful of gelatin to your fave blend, and not only will it make the mixture a tad fudgier, but it’s a sneaky way to ensure the kids get some gut-lovin’ goodness too! Our Chia Peaches + Cream Popsicles will go down a treat.

Cookies.

Okay we’ll admit, gelatin cookies may sound a little weird, but don’t knock it ‘til you try it. Just pop 2 tablespoons of bloomed gelatin into your cookie dough for the fluffiest cookies you’ve ever tasted – these are perfect for kids’ lunchboxes too.
