Will Skelton quits sugar and loses 8kg to return to winning Wallabies

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, 15 November 2016 | 20:23

Rugby player Will Skelton has lost 8kg just in time to rejoin the Wallabies for their win against Scotland on Sunday. And the secret to his newfound fitness is quitting sugar.

Skelton has been benched since August after coach Michael Cheika told him we was not fit enough to play. Motivated, Skelton decided to give quitting sugar a whirl.

“It’s more like, cut the sugar, just no sugar, that’s basically it – it’s the devil,” said Skelton.

Despite a brief patch of sugar withdrawal in the first couple of weeks, Skelton and his wife Kate (who has also quit sugar in support) now “love it” and feel better than ever.

Skelton joins a bunch of male celebrities who have quit sugar, including actor John Goodman, TV presenter Barry Dubois and former rugby star Peter FitzSimons (who lost 34kg in a year!).

With 91 per cent of men who quit sugar on the I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program also losing weight and transforming their health, there’s clearly something in it. Go guys!

What do you think of Will Skelton’s transformation?
