These easy keto cottage cheese chicken patties need just 5 simple ingredients and have 34 grams of protein and just 1 gram carbs!

What are Keto Chicken Patties?
Chicken patties are a delicious alternative to chicken nuggets or chicken burgers because you use cooked leftover chicken or canned chicken, rather than raw chicken which takes longer to prep and cook.
I think the biggest difference between a chicken patty and a chicken burger is the thickness of a patty is much thinner then a chicken burger or salmon burger.
Don't get me wrong I love healthy chicken burgers but they usually need a list of ingredients and time to cook then these tasty patties.
After I created my quick Cottage Cheese Chicken Crust Pizza and it went viral and was so popular, I knew I wanted to create a simple chicken patty. I already have some delicious chicken nugget recipes but they take a little bit more time to form when using raw chicken.
These easy chicken patties are basically a great way to use up leftover chicken turning them into cheesy keto chicken fritters the whole family will love!

Chicken Patty Ingredients
This incredibly delicious recipe for simple cheesy chicken fritters uses canned chicken, or you can use cooked ground chicken, cooked chicken breast, or leftover rotisserie chicken.
You could also use chicken thighs if you prefer but they should be cooked first and also the nutritional information below is using chicken breast.
The chicken mixture is combined with a combination of cottage cheese and cheddar cheese that makes for a perfectly moist chicken patty. The crushed pork rinds give them a nice crisp outer crust.
Can I swap the cheese?
If you don't like cottage cheese, (promise you can't taste it and it adds more protein), you could swap it with ricotta cheese.
If you don't have cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese could be used instead, but I've tried it and I prefer the flavor of cheddar cheese.
You might be able to also swap the cottage cheese with cream cheese though I haven't tested that option myself.

Can I swap the pork rinds?
The crushed pork rinds acts like bread crumbs but if you don't want to use pork rinds for the coating you can swap with grated Parmesan cheese.
But please note that the nutrition info will change on the printable recipe card below. Pork rinds add more protein than using Parmesan cheese.

Can I fry these instead?
You could fry these up in a frying pan but they are soft and flipping might be difficult. Baking is much easier or using the air fryer, less work for you!
