Sugar-free Jaffa Cakes: part biscuit, part cake, ALL gut-lovin’ goodness!

Written By Unknown on Thursday, 6 April 2017 | 22:38

Who doesn’t LOVE a Jaffa Cake? Nobody can deny that the combination of orange and chocolate is perfection.

Unfortunately, the sugar content is far from it (more than a teaspoon of sugar per cake). So, for our brand new eBook I Quit Sugar: The Mini Book of Gut-Lovin’ Desserts, it was a non-negotiable for us make our own sugar-free* version!

Our Jazzy Jaffa Cakes pair chewy chocolate cookies and chocolate coating with a zesty orange jelly (made with REAL oranges and gut-healthy gelatin!).

They may be a little more of a biscuit than a “cake”, but we think they’re way better than the store-bought version! And just in time for Easter, too.

* While we quit fructose on the I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program, these recipes contain a small amount of rice malt syrup (a blend of glucose and maltose). We recommend enjoying on special occasions and sticking to a small portion size, or cutting down on the sweetener even further.
