Ah, food. How much we love thee.
Yep, we’re the kind of people who live each day super excited about our next meal – and what it will be!
That, or we’re planning our dishes days ahead, salivating over how good Sunday’s cook-up will taste. It’s not that we’re always hungry, we just think food is amazing, life-giving stuff, and should be celebrated!
If you love food as much as we do, then you’ll love these hilarious food memes. These ones always set off the giggles in the IQS office (and, inevitably, cravings for avocado!).
1. Discovering that fats can actually be good for you (hallelujah!).
Thank goodness the science was wrong on fats. Our lives would be pretty darn miserable without avocados and olive oil!
2. And speaking of avocados…
Is there anything more delicious on this planet? Especially with lime and feta and sourdough toast… *Homer Simpson drooling sounds*
3. The other healthy fat which solves all problems.
Coconut oil is legitimately the answer to everything, whether we’re using it to make crispy sweet potato chips, Sarah’s famous Raspberry Ripple or to keep our skin and hair looking ah-mazing. (We’re still waiting for it to fix our bank accounts, though.)
4. On the other hand, unnaturally “fat-free” things are just wrong!
Fat is flavour. If you want to make enemies fast, serve us something made with margarine. Or skim milk. (Also, did you know that some studies show that full-fat milk is actually better for your cholesterol levels than skim?)
5. Let’s not even talk about the sugary junk that gets passed off as food!
Refined sugars essentially have zero nutritional value. So, if your product is mostly sugar, we’re avoiding it and eating something with nutrients instead!
6. Especially when real foods are SO much better…
What could be more satisfying than a big, colourful plate of veggies?
7. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have the occasional chocolate!
Chocolate is our favourite treat when we get the Friday arvo munchies. We just make sure we stick to the 85 per cent stuff!
8. And cheese… oh, glorious cheese!
It’s super satiating and can beat even the most rabid sugar cravings. Give us a cheeseboard as an after dinner treat any day!
