Our collective use of plastic is out of control – it seems that everything we consume has some sort of plastic attached to it!
Even your daily takeaway coffee contributes to the use of disposable plastic as it contains a plastic lining within the cup. Once that single-use cup makes its way into landfill, it takes about 50 years to decompose – pretty ironic considering that it spends mere minutes in our hands.
So, in the spirit of our waste-free February challenge, it’s time to cut the plastic. Just imagine how much we could save if we all invested in a reusable coffee cup…
