The reboot strategies you haven’t tried (but should)

How amazing are our bodies?

When you graze your knee, your skin heals, as if by magic. And, when you’re sick, your body instinctively does its best to fight off infection.

But sometimes, your bod needs a helping hand to stay on the right path. So, if you’re feeling sluggish, bloated or just a little bit off, try these hot tips to reboot your system and get you back to feeling your best!

1. Sip on some tea.

Not only is sipping on your fave brew totally soul-nourishing, but turns out, it can help boost your liver function too! Your liver’s a lone wolf when it comes to processing fructose, so if you’ve gone a little OTT on the treats lately, it could be working overtime. Give it a healthy reboot by regularly sipping on some liquorice tea (it will kick your cravings too!).

2. Increase green veggies.

Increasing your intake of leafy greens, like spinach, kale and even the humble lettuce leaf, is the perfect way to not only get a hit of antioxidants, but to keep everything… ah, moving along! Green veg is high in fibre, so it aids digestion and of course, your bowel movements. Remember, if you’re increasing your fibre it’s a good idea to up your water intake too so it’s smooth sailing from top to toe.

3. Get moving!

Exercise has proven positive effects on both our physical and mental health. Even just a gentle 15-minute walk can get your heart pumping and oxygen circulating more efficiently to help your organs naturally rid your body of any built-up toxins. Exercise will also get your endorphins flowing to boost your mood – clever, huh?

4. Cut the sugar.

Too much of sweet stuff is the most likely suspect if you’re feeling sluggish. If you’re run down and your muscles are aching, or you just can’t think straight, it’s time to give sugar the flick! Try our 7-Day Reboot for a taste of the sugar-free life and you’ll enjoy tasty recipes that’ll have you feeling your best within a week!
