- Here we are again, bringing you the latest crazy Coke news.
- The newest addition to the Coke family has a very (un)catchy name, Coca-Cola Plus Coffee No Sugar.
- And, it’s available to us exclusively for the Australian summer. Lucky us. *Rolls eyes*
Caffeine addicts listen up! Here’s what not to buy…
This week the Big Soda company has jumped on the coffee bandwagon, adding a “dash of real coffee from Brazil” to their Coca-Cola No Sugar product.
But if a hit of caffeine is what you’re after, you may want to stick to your traditional brew. This new bevvy contains far less caffeine than a regular coffee with just 14mg of caffeine per 100ml – a standard cappuccino has a whopping 43mg/100ml.
We weighed in on Coca-Cola No Sugar when it was first released, and its concoction of artificial sweeteners was a no-go for us. So the same product, with the addition of coffee is, unsurprisingly, still not going down well in the IQS office.
Coca-Cola Australia spokeswoman Lisa Winn says, “We think it will be a great-tasting afternoon pick-me-up – like a delicious antidote to the 3pm slump.” Sorry Coke, we think we’ll stick our nutritious energy-boosting options.
