We made SUGAR-FREE cinnamon rolls (right down to the sticky glaze!)

Written By Unknown on Wednesday 12 April 2017 | 21:44

For years, we looked at cinnamon rolls swimming in sugary glaze and wondered how we could possibly eat them without our teeth shattering.

But the promise of warm dough stuffed with cinnamon butter was so tempting…

After you guys loved two-ingredient dough for our Pull-Apart Lunchbox Scrolls, we decided to take the plunge.

We brushed our rolls with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and rice malt syrup to mimic the classic flavour. And, as they came out of the oven, they smelled like the real deal!

And that sticky, gooey glaze? Melted coconut butter came to the rescue! The end result is a gorgeous sticky scroll that tastes even BETTER than the original.

* While we quit fructose on the I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program, this recipe contains a small amount of rice malt syrup (a blend of glucose and maltose), which can still affect your blood sugar levels. We recommend enjoying on special occasions or cutting down on the sweetener even further, if you like.
