This Valentine’s Day, don’t give your love to cheap chocolates and cheesy teddybears.

Instead, whip up something special that will absolutely wow your significant other*.

These delicious gift ideas are a great (sugar-free) alternative to the all sickly sweet, pink-packaged stuff. They’re also super easy to make. (Just don’t tell them that…)

1. Breakfast in bed.

Savoury is the new sweet! Ditch your syrupy morning pancakes for these amazing Chive, Kale and Parmesan versions. You can even use a tinfoil mould to make heart-shaped pancake for a little extra love.

2. A homecooked dinner.

Got 15 minutes to spare in the morning? That’s all it takes to prepare this slow cooker chicken so it’s ready and waiting when you get home. That way, you’ll have more time to stare lovingly into your SO’s eyes over a candlelit dinner table… or other romantic pursuits!

3. Decadent dessert.

This rosewater-infused chocolate tart is in an entirely different league to the sugary sweet things you get in a box of Roses.
