Need to bake a cake or dessert but it’s, like, a billion degrees outside?
The idea of switching on the oven on might make you feel like spontaneously combusting into flames.
Never fear, these dessert recipes are all made oven-free, are actually good for you AND taste just as delicious as Nan’s baked cheesecake. Chance of combustion: slim.
1. Chocolate cake.
Cue the chorus of “get out of town!”. It is actually possible (and ridiculously easy) to make this family favourite without even touching the oven. Or the sugar jar.
Raw Chocolate + Raspberry Cheesecake
2. Cheesecake.
No faffing about with pastry baking here. Nuts and coconut make for a perfectly crumbly base (filled with healthy fats) to house the smooth and creamy filling.
We’ve added an extra nutritional hit with the protein powder, but feel free to leave this out if you can’t get your hands on any.
No-bake Blueberry + Cardamom Cheesecake
3. Bliss balls.
Most protein or bliss balls you buy at the local health food shop are crammed with fructose-filled dates, honey or agave. Not so with our I Quit Sugar Cacao + Chia Protein Ball Mix.
You can easily customise your mix (available exclusively at Woolies) with all sorts of fancy flavours. We’ve added almonds and cinnamon to these ones for a little extra deliciousness (and crunch).

4. Popsicles.
What better way to stay cool in the heat that with a healthy (yet still totally delicious) ice cream on a stick?
Perfect for little kids and big ones, you can use any fruit you like in these if you’re not a fan peaches. (We have it on good authority berries would work a treat.)

5. Chocolate mousse.
There’s a reason this mousse is one of our most popular recipes. Fructose-free, vegan and prepped in 10 minutes flat, it’s the ultimate no-bake dessert to show your loved ones just how “cool” a low-sugar life can be.
