5 savoury snacks to reset your kids’ sweet tooth

Written By Unknown on Wednesday 13 July 2016 | 13:07

As many parents know, they aren’t really any limits to a kid’s sweet tooth. What may make our taste buds recoil in horror is often what they the crave most – Froot Loops, sherbet, red cordial…

Taming that sweet tooth is pretty essential, though. According to the World Health Organization, children aged 2–8 should not eat more than three teaspoons of added sugar per day. But ABS data shows that the average Aussie child eats at least 9–10 teaspoons daily. And that number only gets worse as they get older.

Looking to dial back some of the sweet stuff in your kids’ diet? These nutritious savoury snacks contain barely a speck of sugar – and they’re sure to please even the biggest sweet tooth!
