Where to find a sugar-free lunch in London

Written By Unknown on Thursday 9 June 2016 | 00:31

If you have no choice but to grab lunch on the run, you might find, er… there isn’t much choice.

Between blueberry muffins and salads dripping in sugary vinaigrettes, a healthy and convenient lunch in London can be hard to come by… yet, not impossible!

And UK sugar-quitter Steve Munro knows where it’s at! Steve lost 3in off his waist simply by quitting sugar, so he wasn’t going to let sugary café food ruin all his hard work.

In advance of Sarah’s trip to London, Steve tweeted her with the best fructose-friendly lunches he’d found. Inspired, we investigated further. The following chain cafés and shops are available all over London – and the UK – and the listed meals come to just 3g of sugar or less per serve (that’s less than a teaspoon). Hope you’re hungry?!

Abokado

Abokado is known as the place for healthy salads, wraps and sushi. But some of the dressings are actually full of sugar. We suggest asking for no dressing on these meals to bring the sugar down to less than a teaspoon. If you want extra flavour, opt for the soy sauce or yoghurt mint dressing.
