Written By Unknown on Monday, 23 October 2023 | 03:29

Even if you're not a fan of cottage cheese, this easy whipped cottage cheese recipe will shockingly surprise you with the incredible creamy texture that you won't even believe it's cottage cheese! Just 2 ingredients, 1 minute to blend and 19 grams of protein!

Cottage Cheese as a High Protein Dessert

Cottage cheese is a powerhouse of essential nutrients that make for a healthy high protein dessert or snack!

When you have a sweet tooth on your keto diet or low carb diet, choosing a sweet treat that has a good source of protein will keep you satisfied and satiated.

Our high protein, low carb dessert has just 2 simple ingredients and can easily be adapted for different flavors combinations or could even be enjoyed like a parfait for breakfast on the go.

Lactaid 4% Cottage Cheese nutrition info according to the app Cronometer in ½ cup serving has 13 g protein, 5 g total carbs, 5 g fat and 110 calories along with a good amount of calcium, potassium and sodium.

What is Whipped Cottage Cheese?

When you hear the word whipped you may be thinking of heavy whipping cream, but whipped cottage cheese is not exactly the same.

When you whip cottage cheese, it becomes fluffy, light and smooth in texture, no small curd will be noticeable.

This creamy texture may be more appealing to those who find an issue with the texture of regular cottage cheese.

Easy Keto Protein Puddings

This is the quickest and easiest sugar free pudding because it literally takes 1 minute to create this blended cottage cheese mixture that honestly tastes like a healthy cottage cheesecake recipe with no cooking or baking required!

No need to wait for it to set in the fridge like typical pudding or wait for it to freeze like my Keto Peanut Butter Cottage Cheese Ice Cream!

For the best results to get that creamy consistency, I use my Vitamix, which is a high speed blender, but you can also use a food processor or even an immersion blender would work.

Best Cottage Cheese Brands

Full-fat cottage cheese is best for this pudding, either 4% or 2% cottage cheese will yield the best results.

You can find many options for cottage cheese at your local grocery store, but specific brands vary in taste and texture.

I don't recommend fat free cottage cheese because it won't be as satisfying as full fat cottage cheese or as creamy.

I like to use lactose free cottage cheese since my daughter and I both have lactose intolerance. The brand I like best is Green Valley organic, but Lactaid is also a great brand as is the Good Culture brand.

Do I need the Collagen?

No, you can make this cottage cheese pudding without collagen but it adds more protein and has so many amazing benefits that I try to include 1-2 scoops of pure collagen every day in my coffee, tea, or smoothies.

Benefits of collagen include improved cartilage tissue, reduced joint pain, improved bone density, improved hair & nail growth, supports leaky gut repair, reduced cellulite and improved mobility.

I use Grass-fed Pure collagen from the Naturally Nourished line which is lab-tested for purity to ensure there are no heavy metals including mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic. Use sugarfreemom10 at check out for a discount to this amazing collagen!

Different Flavors Cottage Cheese Pudding

Peanut Butter Cottage Cheese Pudding Recipe

Use either peanut butter powder for less calories then regular peanut butter, but either will work. I'd recommend 2 tablespoons since this easy recipe is for 2 servings. You could also replace peanut butter with almond butter or another nut butter of choice.

Chocolate Cottage Cheese Pudding Recipe

Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cacao or cocoa powder plus ½ teaspoon Chocolate Monk Fruit Liquid sweetener.

I'd also recommend topping with homemade sugar free whipped cream. I would then top this cottage cheese chocolate pudding with sugar free chocolate chips for a decadent, indulgent, but simple recipe!

Pumpkin Cottage Cheese Pudding Recipe

Add 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree either canned or homemade along with 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. I'd also recommend adding ½ teaspoon pumpkin liquid stevia.

How to Store Cottage Cheese Pudding

After blending, separate into 2 servings in a small mason jar and cover or place the entire recipe into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Can I Swap Collagen for Whey protein powder?

Yes you can swap the collagen for whey protein powder. I'd recommend a vanilla whey protein then add a little bit of vanilla extract as well for a deliciously healthy dessert.

Can I Freeze Cottage Cheese Pudding?

Yes you can freeze this cottage cheese pudding in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.

Can I replace Cottage cheese?

If you really don't want to try this cottage cheese pudding with cottage cheese, you could replace it with ricotta cheese or full fat Greek plain yogurt but your nutritional information will not be the same as listed below in the printable recipe card.

You won't nearly have as high protein with either of those as you will with cottage cheese.

Natural Sweeteners

I don't use any sweetener or added sugar in my cottage cheese pudding, but feel free to add whatever you prefer. My Sweetener Guide & Conversion Chart is helpful to decide which to use and how much.

When I make this as a breakfast parfait, I layer the pudding, then add some hemp seeds and fresh fruit, typically low carb berries like fresh blueberries, raspberries or fresh strawberries, then continue layers in a small mason jar.

Cover your single servings and refrigerate then grab-n-go whenever you need a high protein meal or snack.
