Why we think calorie counting is a croquembouche

Written By Unknown on Sunday, 29 October 2017 | 11:08

Since day one, we’ve been encouraging people to ditch their beloved calorie counters!

Instead, we choose to stick to some fairly simple philosophies when it comes to health and wellness. Hungry to find out more? Here’s what you need to know…

Just JERF.

The great news is, once you quit sugar, you’ll naturally cut the crappy processed foods from your diet and find yourself ‘just eating real food’. This might seem onerous (at first), but trust us, the long-term benefits of nourishing your body with nutrient-dense food will soon have you shouting the no sugar message from the rooftops!

Crowd it out.

If you haven’t heard of this term before, don’t panic. Our founder and director, Sarah, put it perfectly when she said, “Crowding out means we fill up on so much of the good stuff that there’s no room for the bad stuff.” On our  8-Week Program we pack in a whopping seven to nine serves of veggies into each day to ensure you’re left feeling balanced and feeling fuller for longer! Another important factor to mention, is once you’ve given fructose the flick, our sugar-free desserts will satisfy your sweet tooth without sending your cravings crazy. Win, win!

Embrace fat.

Now, in case you’ve been out of the loop for the past few years, it turns out that the low-fat movement was founded on some pretty shaky science. To put it simply, fats don’t make us fat. If anything, they make us less likely to overeat (while sugar does the opposite!) and as a result, we’re more easily able to maintain a healthy weight. In saying this however, it’s important to note that not ALL fats have our tick of approval. To help guide you, here are the three fats you should be eating, and the one you should avoid like the plague.

Keen to ditch calorie counting for good? Our next 8-Week Program kicks off November 2!
