- Victoria has just announced that they too will be banning single-use plastic bags, as soon as possible!
- This now makes New South Wales the ONLY state in Australia yet to join the movement.
Looks like it’s BYO bags from now on in Victoria!
Following the lead of other Aussie states, as well as supermarket giants, the Victorian state government has committed to ban all single-use plastic bags as soon a possible.
The commencement date for the ban is yet to be decided however, Environment Minister Lily D’Ambrosio said, “In the first half of next year we will have a design scheme for the ban and a commencement date.” We’ll be waiting with bated breath.
Let’s make it a full house – NSW, bring it home for Australia!
