As many parents know, kids can be mighty picky when it comes to what they’ll eat.
Luckily, we have a few tricks up our sleeves to get the youngsters as excited about eating real, nutritionally dense meals as we are.
Need some inspiration? Here are the top five kids’ recipes from the littlest humans that belong to our IQS community.
1. Sarah’s KFC.
Our Instagram community reckons Sarah’s KFC with Green Mash from the I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program is a “winner, winner, chicken dinner!”.
“My little crew love these for dinner,” says mum, Becca. “And they love it even more when I cook a massive batch and they get to take them to school for lunch!”
“Miss three year old devoured the chicken and asked for more,” agrees mum, Louise. “She even ate the green mash. Mr eight month old ate the mash too, which is a good consistency for baby-led weaning. Yum yum!”
Looks like this one’s definitely “Kid Friendly Chicken”! (yep, we did).
2. Green bacon and egg cupcakes.
These little cups of goodness are also a hit with IQS Insta kids. “They’re my kids’ lunch box favourite!” says mum, Yulianna.
“My little brother and sister love them!” agrees big sister Monica. “They’re an all-round favourite you can jazz up anyway you like.”
3. Pumpkin + Mozzarella Pizza.
Katie, four, can’t get enough of the Pumpkin + Mozzarella Pizza from the current 8-Week Program.
“They have been a favourite since our first Program when she was two,” says mum and IQS Ambassador, Jenny. “She sometimes eats just the base on its own she loves it so much! Weird I know, but kids do crazy things like that.”
Katie also rates our Raspberry Gummies, Chocolate Zuchinni Bread and Porridge Three Ways (the raspberry edition) top of her list.

4. Sweet potato brownies.
Mum and IQS Ambassador Jenni says her little two-year-old man loves these veggie-packed brownies. “He’s a little tricky to get vegetables into, so I tend to opt for recipes where I can sneak some goodness in.”
Jenni says he’ll also demolish the 8-Week Program’s Chilli Con Carne and Shepherd’s Pie, where she can sneak in even more veg!
“Amazingly he does like meals with big flavours, so Sarah’s Vietnamese Chicken Curry is great for him, too!”
5. Sesame Salmon Noodles.
Maisie, 15 and Lee, eight, are both huge salmon lovers. “Add some noodles to the mix, some ‘crunchy bits’, and we’re on to a winner,” says mum, Victoria. These noodles feature in this round of the 8-Week Program.
“Even better, there’s a bunch of fresh greens in there that they’re super happy to eat, which isn’t always the case. The dressing is delicious and the whole meal is so ridiculously easy to make. It’s on high rotation in my meal planning.”
