
Pickles are definitely having a moment – both out in the world and at IQS HQ!
Tasty, tangy and oh-so-crunchy, recipe developer Meg has officially declared them her “favourite food item in the world” and has been bringing them into the office every day!
These particular Bread and Butter Pickles apparently originated from the Great Depression. Food was scarce and expensive, so popping a pickle between two slices of buttered bread provided a cheap yet flavoursome meal.
We wouldn’t stop at a sandwich, though.
“They make any meal feel really fresh – especially in winter when a lot of our meals are heavy,” says Meg. “I like having them on the side of a curry or stew.”
You might want to make an extra batch of these ones – you’ll be in a right pickle if you run out!
